Q. Rationalize the denominator 1 / ( 4 + √3 ).

Solution : Multiplying the numerator and denominator both by ( 4 - √3 ).

= 1( 4 - √3 ) / ( 4 + √3 ) ( 4 - √3 )

= ( 4 - √3 ) / { ( 4 ) ^2 - ( √3 ) ^ 2 }               [ ( a + b ) ( a - b ) = a^2 - b^2 ]

= ( 4 - √3 ) /  ( 16 - 3 )           { ( √3 )^2 = √3 x √3 = √( 3 x 3 ) = 3 }

= ( 4 - √3 ) / 13.

Your answer is exactly right.Keep it up.
