Gita is right question is wrong because if hcf is 50 then 125 should be fully divisible by 50

Rishav2408: but 125 is not divisible by hcf thats why it is wrong question

HI !

The question is wrong actually.

We know that HCF of 2 no:s is always a factor of its LCM .

HCF and LCM of two no:s must be exactly divisible by each other.
But 275 is not divisible by 50 .

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, we can prove that the given no:s(HCF and LCM) are wrong :-

HCF*LCM = product of 2 no:s

275*50 = 125*x

13750 = 125x

x = 13750/125

x = 110

if the no:s are 110 and 125 ,
their hcf = 5
and lcm = 2750

Hence. the question is wrong.
