At first mariners were blaming the ancient mariner , for killing albatross which made the breeze to flow . 2nd reaction was mariner praised the ancient mariner for killing the albatross which brought the fog and the mist.

at first they blamed the ancient mariner for killing the albatross. they said that whatever problems they are facing is only because of that mariner . but as soon as the conditions became normal they said that such birds should be killed. this shows that they are fickle minded.
