Hi !
1. What made sir Issac Newton react the way he did?
Ans : Sir Issac Newton prepared some papers, on which he had researched for since the past 20 years . His dog "diamond" had dropped the candle on the papers, due to which all his hardwork had gone in vain . Instead of getting angry on his pet, Sir Issac Newton just patted his pet. This show his high intellectual capabilities and , also his emotional balance , at that time.

Give reason " Sir Issac Newton did not punish the dog"
The dog , "diamond", was very dear to him , and he had been his companion since long. Issac Newton loved pets and was very close to his pet. According to him , it was unfair to blame his pet for the fire. He knew that his pet didn't have a little idea , about what damage he had done .Hence, understanding the situation , Newton didn't punish the dog. Through this incident, his love for all living beings is reflected.
