social reason - as Russian society was divided into two parts -
a. privileged class
b. non - privileged class
which agitated to the commoners to rise against

economic reasons - poor condition of industries and agriculture were the main reason for Russian revolution. this split the society into - capitalists and workers.

political reasons - a. tsar Nicholas was an inefficient and short sighted person who has no concern of administration and its welfare
b. there was no participation representatives of the people in Russian politics

administrative reason - for government jobs the knowledge of Russian language was made compulsory which became a big challenge for non russians

role of philosophers - philosophers and writers like Tolstoy influenced the mind of people to rise against unjust regime.
