Answer:

             Meeting a Great Personality

I have been crazy about Harry Potter series ever since the first book ‘Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone’ was launched. I have read all its sequels. No wonder my craze to meet J.K. Rowling always increased with the passage of time. I did not know luck would grant my heart’s wish so quickly and generously.

I had to fly to U.K .to see my sister at the festival of Rakhi. It was my first ever flying experience. I was quite nervous. After the tedious check-in at the terminal and arduous security drudgery, I was taken to the plane. I climbed the stairs and walking down the aisle I was assisted by the air-hostess to my seat. Towards my right sat a blonde in her late forties who seemed to be somewhat familiar. “How could this be”, I asked myself. I did not have a friend in Europe or U.K.

The plane took off, but I kept searching every nook and cranny in my mind to locate where I had seen. After much delving, it dawned on me like a flash that she was none other than J.K. Rowling, the famous author of the Harry Potter series. I was flabbergasted! Summoning all my courage, I dared to enquire of her, “Are you J.K. Rowling?” Smilingly she nodded! I was so happy to have her as my co-passenger.

I requested her for an autograph to which she beamingly agreed. Then I had a wonderful conversation with her throughout the flight. She was so warm and amiable. I thanked her for the company. I also thanked the serendipitous circumstances.

Answer:

Last month I went for a seminar at Amity University, Gwalior. And in the seminar I met one of the novelists   that I admire most. He was no other than Salman Rushdie, the world known novelist received Booker Prize in the year 1981 for his second novel, Midnight's Children.

Without a doubt that was a moment of surprise for me. He was one of the panelists of the session and fortunately I was also a paper presenter of the session. After the technical session is over I met him and express about my admiration towards the writer. I took an autograph to. He even appreciated my presentation in the seminar.  That was indeed a best moment of my life.
