reconstruction of a house from
the Neolithic Age
Social Life
The Neolithic people began to live in groups
in small villages. As the groups that lived
together became close-knit, they developed
into tribes. This led to new occupations and
specialization of labour. People were given
specific tasks based on certain skills. This laid
the basis for the division of society into various
groups. Some were engaged in tasks such as
farming, herding and weaving, and others, who
were not engaged in any form of labour, took
decisions relating to the welfare of the tribe.
The tribes had rich cultural traditons with their
own language, stories, songs, paintings, etc.
Land, forests and water belonged to the entire
tribe. New customs, such as burying the dead,
rituals and ceremonies emerged. Elaborate
tombs have been found in the Neolithic sites
in Europe. Let us read about a tribe which is
close to nature even today.

Answer:

Neolithic people usually lived in rectangular homes with a central hearth that were called long houses. They typically only had one door and were made primarily from mud brick, mud formed into bricks and dried. ... The neolithic people also built large passage tombs to hold the dead into mounds.

Explanation:

As people settled down to farm during the Neolithic Age, they built more permanent shelters. In many areas, people packed mud bricks together to build round or rectangular houses. Sometimes they added stones and tree branches to strengthen the walls and roof. The houses had openings high in the walls.

Major changes were introduced by agriculture, affecting the way human society was organized and how it used the earth, including forest clearance, root crops, and cereal cultivation that can be stored for long periods of time, along with the development of new technologies for farming and herding such as plows

Housing: The people of Neolithic Age lived in rectangular or circular houses which were made of mud and reed. The people of Mehrgarh lived in mud-brick houses while pit-dwelling is reported from Burzahom, the Neolithic site found in Kashmir.
