Given:

Parameter of rectangle

= 122 m

To find:

Length and breadth = ?

Solution:

Let the breadth of a rectangle = x

and the length = x+44m

As we know,

⇒  Parameter \ of \ rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

On substituting the estimated values, we get

                                      122=2(x+44+x)

                                      122=2(2x+44)

                                      122=4x+88

On subtracting "88" from both sides, we get

                              122-88=4x+88-88

                                       34=4x

                                       \frac{34}{4} =x

                                        x=8.5

So,

The breadth = "8.5 m"

The length = x+44m

                   = 8.5+44

                   = 52.5 m
