Rectangular lawn 75 m and 60 has two roads each 4 m wide running through the middle of the lawn find the cost of ravling to the road at the rate of 4.50 per meter square

length of lawn = 75 m

breadth of lawn = 60 m

length of road in vertical manner = 60 m

length of road in horizontal manner = 75 m

breadth is the same in both cases = 4 m

area of road = (75 * 4) + (60 * 4) - 4^2  [ because there is a space where a road is meeting to another road due to which some area is reduced ]

area = 300 + 240 - 16

area = 540 -16 = 524 m^2

cost for 1 m^2 = 4.50/-

cost for 524 m^2 = 4.50 * 524 = 2358/-

therefore, the cost for ravling the road is 2358/-
