Let us assume, present age of Reema's mother is x years and present age of Reema is y years.

Given:

x = 4y ---------------1

Also given, after 5 years

x + 5 = 3 ( y + 5)
x + 5 = 3y + 15
x - 3y = 10 ------------------2

substitute the value of x from equation 1 in equation 2

4y - 3y = 10
y = 10

Therefore, x = 4y = 4 * 10 = 40 years

Answer - The present age of Reema's mother is 40 years and present age of Reema is 10 years
