if 600 is 100%

72% is

72/100*600=>72*6=>432

90% is

90/100*600=>90*6=>540

540-432=108

so she has to score more 108 marks

Reena got 72% marks out of 600.

marks gained by Reena = 72% of 600

= 72 × 600/100

= 72 × 6

= 432

hence, Reena got 432 out of 600.

now question said " how much more marks are needed to secure 90% ".

first of all, we should find 90% of 600

= 90 % of 600

= 90 × 600/100

= 540

hence, more marks are needed to secure 90% = 90% of 600 - 72 % of 600
= 540 - 432
= 108
