The British Rule if not all but was beneficial in the reforming of the Indian society.

Due to their rule, the feeling of nationalism intensified in the people and it also unified the vast region of India with a common purpose of being liberal.

The introduction of transportation and communication not only gave people all over India become closer but also gave them an opportunity to come together and share their common goals.

The introduction of the English language introduced the people of India especially those involved in the uprising and politics to get better ideas about the western ideologies which they applied here and brought changes in the traditions by eradicating acts like 'Sati', educating people about equality, freedom and the right of live free.
