Molecular mass of one mole of Carbon-di-oxide =44g

In it 2 atoms or 16×2=32gm of oxy gen is present.

=>32gm of oxygen->44 gm CO2->1 mole CO2

to find number of moles of CO2 containing 8g of oxygen

(1/32) ×8 mole CO2

=(1/4) mole

=0.25 mole CO2 contains 8gm oxygen.

1 mole CO2->6.022×10^23 molecules.

0.25 mole CO2-> (6.022/4) ×10^23

=1.5055 ×10^23 molecules of CO2...

Hope it helps...

OLegion: sorry but your question asked for the number of moles of CO2 containing 8gm oxygen.
OLegion: can you tell me what were you looking for?
OLegion: okay wait...

weight of CO2=44 gm

44 gm of CO2 has 32 gm Oxygen

therefore x gm CO2 has 8 g oxygen

x=44*8/32

=11 gm

now the second step

44 gm CO2 has Na particles

Na=6.022*10^23

therefore 11 gm CO2 has y particles

y=11*Na/44

=6.022*10^23/4

=1.5*10^23 particles
