So, Period is the amount of time T it takes to repeat itself, and Frequency is the number of times f it repeats in one time unit. Obviously, f = 1/T. If you measure time in s (seconds) then frequency is measured in Hz (cycles or periods per second). Frequency is inversely proportional to time period.
