When a metallic conductor is heated, the atoms in the metal vibrate with a great amplitude and frequency and gains kinetic energy due to increase in temperature the velocity of free electrons also increases.therefore the number of collision between free electrons and atom increases.it increases the number of opposition to the movement of electron and hence the resistance of conductor increases.
