The initial resistance is :-

R =resistivity × L/A

Resistance is directly proportional to length of wire.

Then the new resistance will be,

R' = resistivity × 3L/A

R= resistivity×L/A

After putting the value of initial resistance in the new resistance,,

R'= 3R
