Resistance of an electrical instrument is 200 ohm and it can bear a maximum current of 0.1 ampere. If someone wants to connect it to a DC source of 1 ampere find the resistance to be connected in parallel.​

Current = 0.1 A

so Potential difference V = IR

V = 20 volts.

Now this should be the potential difference for the instrument to work without short circuit.

current = 1A

Voltage = 20

so resistance R = V/ I

R = 20 ohm.
