The above statement is true.  

It is known as resources cannot be substituted.  

It is because some kinds of resources are non-renewable.

They are the resources which never renew itself at the required amount for considerable economic extraction in the meaningful human time-frames.  

These kinds of non-renewable resources are not substituted.

If we do it, it will never produce the desired results.
