Yes, resources play a very important role in the distribution of population.
The factors affecting distribution of population are:
• Soil fertility
• Water availablity
• Employment,etc.
People prefer living in areas with fertile soil so that agricultural activities can be done. Similarly, people prefer to live in areas with adequate water availablity so that they would not face problems for water availablity.
People also prefer to live in areas with employment facilities so that they could easily earn their livelihoods.
