Rina lost her weight in the ratio 5 : 3, therefore let the original weight was 5x and present( reduced ) weight is 3x.

As given in the question that her original weight was 80 kg and from above we got that her original weight was 5x.

Now, we have got weight in two terms, comparing both,

Original weight in variable = Original weight in kg( s )

5x = 80 kg

x = \dfrac{80}{5}\:kg

x = 16 kg

Therefore,

Her new weight = 3x kg =  3( 16 kg ) = 48 kg

Let the present weight of Rina be 3x and her original weight be 5x :

given in the question that her original weight was 80 kg

Original weight of Rina in variable = Original weight of Rina in kg

5x = 80 kg

x =\dfrac{80}{5}\: kg

x = 16 kg

Hence,
New weight of Rina = 3x = 3 × 16 kg = 48 kg
