Number of 50 rupee note = 4a

Total money = 7000

=> 5a × 100 + 4a × 50 = 7000

=> 500a+200a = 7000

=> 700a = 7000

=> a = 10

Number of 100 rupee note = 50

Number of 50 rupee note = 40

Verification :-

Number of 100 rupee note = 50

Total value of 100 rupee notes = 5000

Number of 50 rupee note = 40

Total value of 50 rupee note = 50 × 40 = 2000

Total money = 5000 + 2000

= 7000
