Role of chief minister on managing the state affairs

The Chief Minister of a state is responsible for formulating the policies of the Government. His/her decision in this regard will be considered as final. The chief minister also plays the role of the advisor to the Governor of the state. He is responsible for answering the Legislative Assembly regarding the actions of the members of the State Council.

A chief minister has the responsibility of managing the socio-economic development of the State.

While not directly involved in the day to day operations, a Chief Minister needs to ensure that all levels of government and public bodies are working properly for the betterment of the local population.

A Chief minister has enough power to overlook and supervise developments in local education, law and order, power and water, pollution, human development, health, infrastructure and various other branches on a State level.

A chief minister is also a representative of the State in the National Parliament and ensure to fight for the rights of the people.
