Hi ,
Here I am using A instead of theta.
SecA - tanA = 7/100 ----( 1 )
We know the trigonometric identity ,
Sec² A - tan² A = 1
( SecA + tanA ) ( secA - tanA ) = 1
( SecA + tanA ) ( 7/100 ) = 1
Therefore ,
SecA + tanA = 100/7 ---( 2 )
Add equations ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we get
2secA = 7/100 + 100/7
= ( 49 + 10000 ) / 700
SecA = 10049/1400
I hope this helps you.
