Explanation:
About 50% of digeation occurs in small intestine.It has three parts,
1-Duodenum (20-25cm long) it contain enzymes from pancrease such as amylase,lipase and trypsin for digestion of starch, fat and polypetides.It also contain bile from liver which emulsifies fats.
2-Jejunum (2-4m long) it contain enzymes such as Amino peptidase, erypsin, lipase, maltase and lactase.
3-Ileum is last part amd nearly all absorption of products of digestion occur here.it has velvety apperance and contain villi and microvilli that help in food absorption.
