During Gandhiji's salt march ,1000s of women came out of their homes to listen to him. They participated in protest marches ,manufactured salt, picketed foreign cloth and liquor shops. Many went to jail. This was how women participated in the Civil Dis-obedience movement. Yet,this incresaed public role did not bring any radical change in the position of women.
