b. convection
The heater is always placed on the floor. This is because the cold air Is heavier than warm air and so it is in the lower part of the room. The heater at first heats the cold air in the bottom of the room. The cold air gets warm and rises up replacing the comparatively cold air in the room. This cold air sinks down which gets heated by the heater and rises up. This process goes on and gradually the room gets warm.
