Most modern rotor blades on large wind turbines are made of glass fibre reinforced plastics, (GRP), i.e. glass fibre reinforced polyester or epoxy. Using carbon fibre or aramid (Kevlar) as reinforcing material is another possibility, but usually such blades are uneconomic for large turbines.

Rotors are very important component in any device which is related with wind generation or exhaustion.
Rotors spin at a very fast velocity and face a lot of wind pressure, that's why we have to use light but strong material for making rotors,to prevent them from breaking apart.
And the Glass-Fibre Reinforced Plastic or the GRP is the best material which matches all conditions for making a good quality rotor.
That's why we use GRP for rotor making.
