Rigidity is the resistance offered by a “solid” to any external force trying to change it's shape. A rubber band is very less rigid but since it doesn't 'flow away' it is a solid and not a liquid. ... Steel changes its shape when stretched too. So does anything that can be stretched.

it changes its shape when stretched but comes to it original shape one released..
Moreover the volume of rubber remains the same ..
so it is solid in state
