Cost price of scooter when Tony bought it =35,000

Profit percentage when Monica sold the scooter to Tony=4%

We know that :-

profit \: \% =  \frac{profit}{CP}  \times 100

Which means the profit Monica earned :-

Let the profit be x.

 = 4=  \frac{x}{35000}  \times 100

 = 4=  \frac{100x}{35000}

 = 4\times 35000 = 100x

 = 140000 = 100x

 = x =  \frac{140000}{100}

 = x = 1400

Hence profit Monica incurred = 1,400

Cost of the scooter after Monica repaired it :-

= 35000 - 1400

 = 33600

Money Monica spent on the scooter's repair =33,000

Which means the price at which Monica bought the scooter :-

 = 33600 - 33000

 = 600

Thus, the cost price of the scooter for Monica is=600

Percentage of loss Ruksana incurred when she sold the scooter to Monica =5%

We know that :-

loss \:  \% =  \frac{loss}{CP}  \times 100

Which means loss Ruksana faced :-

Let x be the loss .

 = 5 \: =  \frac{x}{600}  \times 100

 = 5 =  \frac{100x}{600}

 = 5  \times 600 = 100x

 = 3000 = 100x

 = x =  \frac{3000}{100}

 = x = 30

Thus loss Ruksana incurred when she sold the scooter to Monica =30

Which means :-

The price at which Ruksana bought the scooter :-

 = 600 + 30

 = 630

Thus, the price at which Ruksana bought the scooter =630

Therefore, the cost price of the scooter when Ruksana bought it= 630
