Ryan's mp3 player has 34 songs on it. There are 12 country songs, 10 rock songs, and 12 jazz songs. If Ryan randomly selects 2 songs, without replacement, what is the probability that one song will be country and one song will be rock?

Total no of songs = 34.

Probability of first song to be country = (no of country songs / total songs) = 12/34 = 6/17.

As per the question there is no replacement so for the 2nd time the total songs left will be 34 - 1 = 33.

Probability of second song to be rock without replacement = (no of rock songs / total songs left as of now) =10/33.

Therefore, combinedly the probability that one song will be country and one song will be rock = 6/17 * 10/33 = 60/561 = 0.106 approx.
