Saint Peter was tired and hungry as well from his journey.

He asked the old lady, who was baking her cakes, for food. The lady got upset and tried to make the smallest of the smallest cake but then also was not satisfied. She at last refused to give even a wafer thin cake to the Saint which angered the Saint.Because of her greedyness, she couldn't oblige Saint Peter.
