Answer:

x= 70°

y= 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

50+x=120

x= 120-50

x=70°

x+y+50=180

70+50+y=180

120+y=180

y=180-120

y=60°

To find the value of :

  • x and y in the figure attached

Solution :

First finding the value of y.

Here,

⇝ ∠y + 120° = 180°⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀(By linear pair)

⇝ ∠y = 180° - 120°

⇝ ∠y = 60°

Now, finding the value of x.

Here,

Let's name the figure.

Thus,

• ∠A = 50°

• ∠B = ∠y = 60°

• ∠C = x°

Here ,we can observe a ∆ABC.

So,

Sum of all angles of a triangle = 180°

⇝ ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

⇝ 50° + 60° + x = 180°

⇝ 110° + x = 180°

⇝ x = 180° - 110°

⇝ x = 70°

⇝ ∠x = 70°

Therefore,

  • Value of x is 70°
  • Value of y is 60°
