corrosion mostly means erosion

it happens when

1) iron reacts with moisture and oxygen

2) copper reacts with air and moisture

prevention

1) galvanization

2) painting

3) greasing

4) electric wire method

rusting mostly takes place when metal comes in contact with moisture and oxygen. ot forms a reddish brown layer over the metal.

plzz mark as best

and leave a thanks

Hello:)

Corrosion is the irreversible damage or destruction of living tissue or material due to a chemical or electrochemical reaction. Example: A prime example of corrosion is rusting of iron or steel.

According to Electrochemical theory of rusting, the impure iron surface behaves like a small electrochemical cell presence of water containing dissolved oxygen or carbon dioxide. Such a cell is also called corrosion cells or corrosion couple. In this miniature corrosion cells, pure iron acts as anode and impure surfaces act as cathode. Moisture having dissolved oxygen or carbon dioxide in it constitutes electrolytic solution.

hope it helps!!
