Answer:-

Given:

  • Principal = Rs.10000

  • Time = 3 years

  • Amount = Rs.13600

To Find:

  • Rate of Interest

Solution:

➥ Simple Interest = Amount - Principal

= 13600 - 10000

= Rs. 3600

➥ Rate of Interest

= (S.I. × 100) ÷ (Principal × Time)

= (3600 × 100) ÷ ( 10000 × 3 )

= 360000 ÷ 30000

= 36 ÷ 3

= 12

Hence, Rate of Interest is 12%.

Formula to be remembered:-

▪︎S.I. = (Principal × Rate% × Height) ÷ 100

▪︎Amount = Principal + S.I.

▪︎Rate = (S.I. × 100) ÷ (Principal × Time)

▪︎Principal = (S.I. × 100) ÷ (Rate × Time)

▪︎ Time = (S.I. × 100) ÷ (Principal × Rate)
