Seema is 10 years elder tham Rekha.The ratio of their ages is 5:3.Find their ages.

ratio=5:3
let it be x
5x:3x
age difference=10
so
5x-3x=10
2x=10
x=5

so their ages are 5x:3x= (5x5:3×5)=
25 and 15.

Answer 2

Ratio of ages = 5:3
Let x be constant
Therefore Seema's age is 5x years
Rekha' s age is 3x years
Now ATQ
3x +10=5x
Therefore 2x =10
Or,x=5
Therefore Seema's age is (5*5)=25years
Therefore Rekha' s age is (5*3)=15 years
