Direct Speech -

She said to me, "Who has given you this Pen? "

Indirect Speech -

She asked me who had given that pen to me.

Rules for changing Direct Sentence to Indirect sentence -

1) In Indirect Speech the inverted commas are removed.

2) The sentence in Indirect speech is converted into Past tense.

3) Words like if, whether, that, are used.

4) When the direct speech is a question, said gets changed to asked. When it is a exclamatory sentence it gets changed to exclaimed, when order, it changes to ordered.

(It gets changed according to the type of sentence.)

5) The word "This" gets changed to "that"
