Adam’s peak in Srilanka

The footmark of the Buddha is known as Buddhapada in Sanskrit language. It is an inscription of Buddha's solitary or two feet. There are two structures:
Natural------ formed in rock or stone:  Several of the natural foot prints are recognized not to be authentic footmarks of Buddha, but imitations or illustrations of them, which can be taken into account as Buddhist remnants and also an initial representational symbol of Buddha.

Non-natural------those prepared synthetically.
Adam's Peak or Butterfly Mountain is a 2,243 meter high tapering alp found in Nuwara Eliya region of Sri Lanka. It is identified for the holy footmark of Buddha. It comprises a 1.8 meter solid mineral material structure adjacent to the peak, which in Buddhist practice is believed to be the footmark of Buddha. According to Hindu custom it is believed to be the footmark of Shiva whereas in keeping with Christian as well as Islamic ethnicities, it is assumed to be that of Saint Thomas and Adam respectively.  The bigger portion of the pathway heading from the bottom to the top of Adam’s Peak is made up of of thousands of footsteps assembled in concrete and rutted stones.

The Buddhapada are very much respected in all Buddhist countries, expressly in Sri Lanka and Thailand. The footsteps of Buddha represent that Buddha had been there, as they are supposed to be the marks where the Buddha in point of fact contacted the ground. They are typically illustrated with the toes of all single dimensions with a helm in the focus. Other primary Buddhist codes also exist on the toes and heels. These are as follows:
The lotus
The swastika

The three jewels
Monuments of Buddha's footsteps are generally sheltered in a distinctive temple arrangement, where the devotees carry flowers and other gifts.
