Good morning everyone present here; I am going to express my views on ‘Recess Time Should Be Extended’. Life has become a race; everyone appears to be in hurry to win this race. The peace, composure, comfort, and the feeling of being at home have fled to some distant land. As a result everyone is stressed and tense. This stress has given chronic anxiety to everyone. Schools are also not exempted from this fast-moving life.
One period after another without a break with incessant activities have put burden on students and teachers. Even the break is full of activities. Students rush to washrooms, canteen, and water taps. There is so much crowd at all the above mentioned spots. The 20 minute long break just flies. Most of the students can’t even finish their tiffin when the bell for the teaching period rings.
I appeal to the educationists and policy makers to look into it and extend the recess time by 10 minutes more so that students can have some respite and relief. Otherwise their mental health will be on the verge of nervous-breakdown.
