1) In 1992, leaders from more than 100 countries participated in the first International Earth Summit at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. 2) At this summit, world level problems of ecological protection and socio-economic development were discussed. 3) The major objective was that every country should portray its own Agenda 21 for attaining sustainable development. 4) The other objectives of the summit are ​​(i)To achieve global sustainable development in the 21stcentury ​(ii)To conserve biological diversity ​(iii)To eliminate diseases with the help of shared welfares, requirements and obligations amongst various nations ​(iv)To prevent poverty and environmental damage
