When H2S instead is the hydrogen Donor for Purple and green sulphur bacteria the oxidation product is Sulphur or sulphate depending on the organised and not o2 why??

Hey,
In Green Sulphur Bacteria, when H2S instead of H20 was used as hydrogen donor no O2 evolved.
By this we can understand that O2 evolved from H2O but not from CO2 as thought earlier..
Observe the attached Image, the product A is from the reactant H2A..similarly when H2O is used O2 is evolved and when H2S is used, S2 is evolved.
