The metric system, including Celsius, is the official system of measurement for almost all countries in the world. Most scientific fields measure temperature using the Celsius scale. Zero degrees Celsius is the freezing point of water, and 100 degrees Celsius is the boiling point of water.

Three nations do not use the Celsius scale. The United States, Burma, and Liberia use the Fahrenheit scale to measure temperature. However, even in these countries, scientists use the Celsius or kelvin scale to measure temperature. Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit and boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thermometer is device that enables to measure temperature. There are two main types of thermometer. There are Clinical and laboratory thermometer.
Clinical thermometer:
Meant for clinical purposes.It is developed for measuring the human body temperature.
Laboratory thermometer:
Which is known as lab thermometer,is used for measuring temperatures other than human body temperature.They are designed for lab purposes
