Vaikom Satyagraha (1924–25) was a satyagraha (movement) in Travancore, India (now part of Kerala) against untouchability in Hindu society. The movement was centered at the Shiva temple at Vaikom, near Kottayam. The Satyagraha aimed at securing freedom of movement for all sections of society through the public roads leading to the Sri Mahadevar Temple at Vaikom.

Viakom Satyagraha.
Explanation:
- Began on March 30, 1924, the Vaikom Satyagrah was a movement for temple entry for the lower classes. This movement took place near the Shiva Temple at Vaikom.
- The caste system prevalent in Indian society banned the low caste Hindus to enter into the temples. Moreover, in Kerala, the low-caste Hindus were not even allowed to walk on the roads that led to the temples.
- Therefore, the Satyagrahis during the movement entered the temple in the batches of three. The movement was supported by Gandhiji, Chatampi Swamikal and Sree Narayana Guru.
- Soon the movement gained prominence throughout India. As a result of this widespread movement, the temple opened its gates for Hindus on 23rd November 1925.
