no need to memorize the whole table. it is given obly for understanding. thing to remember is to remember the concept on which his table was made

No you only need to learn atomic numbers of first 30 elements along with its period no.and group number.
I think you should be able to find period number and group number of any element from its atomic number.
If you don't know how
Here's I'm telling you
First do electronic configuration of the atomic number...!!!
For e.g.,
Take Na (Sodium)
Atomic no. 11
E.c = 2,8,1
So last shell has 1 electron
Therefore, 1 is its group number
And there are total 3 shells
Therefore, 3 is its period number
