"1. Sodium Chloride:

Sodium chloride is formed when sodium atoms comes in contact with chlorine atoms. When both the atoms interact the sodium loses one electron to chlorine. This makes sodium positively and chlorine negatively charged. Since opposite charge attracts each other, the sodium atom attracts chloride ions thus forming an ionic bond. The chemical formula for sodium chloride is NaCl.

2. Potassium Fluoride

The chemical formula of potassium fluoride is KF. Potassium fluoride is formed by dissolving potassium carbonate in excess hydrofluoric acid. Evaporation of the solution yields potassium bifluoride. The bifluoride on heating gives potassium fluoride:

K2CO3 + 4HF → 2KHF2 + CO2↑ + H2O

KHF2 → KF + HF↑

3. Water

The chemical equation of the formation of water is

2H2 + O2 = 2H2O

Two molecules of diatomic hydrogen gas combined with one molecule of the diatomic oxygen to produce two molecules of water.

4. Hydrogen Chloride

Hydrogen chloride is produced by treating sodium chloride with concentrated sulphuric acid.
