Show that 4√2 is an irrational number​

let 4√2 be rational no. then,

4√2= \frac{a}{b}

where a & b are positive integer

and b≠0

4√2=\frac{a}{b}

=> √2= \frac{a}{4b}

\frac{integer}{integer} = rational

=> And we know that √2 is irrational

irrational≠rational

\thereforeOur supposition is wrong...

and

4√2 is irrational!
