we know that sinx=cos(90-x)

that is sin 35=cos(90-35)=cos55

so sin35/cos55=1...(2)

And cos 60=1/2

squaring on both sides

cos^2(60)=1/4

2*cos^2(60)=2*1/4=1/2...(3)

substitute (2) and (3) in (1)

we get

1-1/2=1/2=RHS
