Answer:

LHS=tan^2 Ø - 1/cos^2 Ø

=>tan^2 Ø - sec^2 Ø

=> -(sec^2 Ø -tan^2 Ø)

=> -(1)

since{Sec^2 theta - Tan^2 theta = 1 }

=>-1=RHS
