sibi wants to cover the floor of a room 5m long and width 4m by sq.tiles. If the area of each square tiles is (1/2)meter square , then find the number of tiles required to cover the floor of a room.

▪b = 4m


□area of room = lb

5 × 4 m^2
= 20m^2

□area of tiles
= 0.5 m^2


□no. of tiles required = area of room / area of tiles

▪20/0.5
▪40
