Let the square 2 be of the side 9x;

$area \: of \: square \: = ( {side})^{2}$
so,

$area \: of \: sq. \: 1 \: = \: {(8x)}^{2} \\ area \: of \: sq. \: 2 \: = \: {(9x)}^{2}$
Ratio of sq.1 : sq.2 will be,
$= \frac{ {(8x)}^{2} }{ {(9x)}^{2} } \\ = \frac{64}{81}$
Ratio will be 64:81
