SINCE , THE AREA OF A TRAINGLE IS 1/2 BASE*HEIGHT

And here both base and height are sides and if it gets doubles then, the formula becomes,

AREA OF TRIANGLE = 1/2* 2BASE* 2HEIGHT

= 4( 1/2*BASE*HEIGHT)

THUS, IT BECOMES 4 TIMES...
